It had been 3 years since we had our family pictures done and I knew it was time to have them done again.  They boys have changed so much in the past 3 years.  I have been a fan of Kansas Pitts Photography for awhile and knew she was my first choice for our photographer.  We made plans to go to Destin for summer vacation so I contacted Kansas in December and scheduled an appointment for August.  I'm a planner, okay?  Plus, I knew she would book up fast during vacation season with all the traveling families wanting beach pictures.  

So, I found myself in the client's shoes instead of the photographer's.  In my opinion, its good to go through the portrait process as a client to remind yourself how it feels to be in that position.  I learned some lessons and I think my business will improve because of it.  And why, oh why, does coordinating outfits have to be so hard?!  Mom's outfit is always the hardest, to me, at least.  And is there a gene that makes the male species despise having pictures made?  They never want to do it, although afterward they always say, "That wasn't so bad".  Of course, the day of our session, it rained.  There was no option to reschedule either, because she had sessions the rest of the week.  We had one afternoon to get it done.  Luckily, the rain cleared for a bit and we were able to go ahead with the session.  I'm so thankful to have these memories!  If you are ever in the Destin area and need a photographer, keep Kansas Pitts in mind.  Her photos are amazing!
