4 Reasons Why You Should Learn to Use Your DSLR Camera

I remember my first DSLR camera.  It was a Canon Rebel.  I had always been interested in photography, but when I had kids, I wanted to capture better pictures of them.  I just knew if I forked out the money on a big fancy camera, my photos would have to be much better, wouldn't they?

I quickly found out that wasn't the case.  Sometimes I got lucky and my camera produced a great picture but most of the time they were a little off.  The faces were dark.  My kids skin color was bluish.  The images were just lacking and not at all what I expected when I purchased the camera.  That's when I realized I was going to have to start studying - and I haven't stopped yet!

Not that you have to take it as far as I did, but a little basic camera knowledge can really help to improve your images.  Sure, we can learn online, but how many of us moms really take the time to do that?  a few do, but most of us are just too busy.  That's why I am encouraging you to sign up for an in-person photography class.  Doing so will ensure that you will set aside the time and actually learn your camera.

Now why do you need to learn your camera again?  I'm about to tell you...

Reason #1    So you can capture all the moments

MOM is the Photographer. Mom is the one that is there through every fleeting moment in their child(s) life. The mom is usually the one that is documenting their kiddos the most with their camera. Take time to learn how to capture your family’s story well through beautiful storytelling imagery and leave a legacy for your kids!

Reason #2    Because you don't want your investment to go to waste

You've invested the money in a DSLR, now why not learn how to use it?  If you don't, you've essentially wasted your money haven't you?   You have the tool.  Now obtain the knowledge to use it to capture those magical moments.

Reason #3 So you can take your images from boring to WOW!

Capture those beautiful Buttery, Blurry Backgrounds that you see in the Professionals images! Learn all about gettting the “blur” in your background and how to capture it over and over again!

Reason #4  So you can get out of AUTO mode

In auto mode, we are letting the camera make all the decisions.  At times, it does a pretty good job under the right conditions.  But more often, it does a very mediocre job making decisions.  Shooting in manual allows the photographer to make the decisions and overcome situations in order to capture the moment in the best possible way!  You can be in control and express your creativity.
