How to Keep Your Camera Safe at the Beach
4 TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR CAMERA SAFE AT THE BEACH
Worried about taking your DSLR to the beach?
You shouldn't be! If you are careful, it should be fine. Here are a few tips when taking your camera to the beach:
1. Sit your camera outside at least an hour before you plan to head to the beach. This gives it time to acclimate to the temperature and humidity which means less fog on your lens.
2. Don't change lenses while at the beach. Pick one lens and stick with it to prevent sand from accidentally getting inside your camera.
3. Put sunscreen on yourself and the kids before leaving for the beach and wash your hands. That way, you aren't touching you camera with greasy fingers.
4. Put your camera in a separate bag. Be sure to tell the kids that they are not allowed to get into Mommy's camera bag.
By following these 4 simple steps, you can help keep your camera safe and still capture those beach moments!
