Are Background Distractions Ruining Your Images?

BACKGROUND DISTRACTIONS CAN RUIN YOUR PHOTOS

One of the biggest mistakes new photographers make is they fail to pay attention to the background. If your background is distracting, it can really ruin your photo. It's easy to get so focused on your subject, that you forget to check behind them before clicking the shutter.

So you've got basically three options:
1. Move your subject.
2. Choose a lower f/stop to blur out the distractions.
3. Change your camera angle.

Changing your camera angle is probably the easiest option. Move a little to the right or left. Shoot from higher or lower.

Before you snap that picture, try to always take a quick look at the background to eliminate those distractions.
