How to Plan an Awesome Grad Party

This spring semester may have been crazy, but that's no reason to skip the celebration.  Seniors may have missed out on many important events but when the time is right, a graduation celebration is still in order when the time is right.   All the hard work it took to graduate deserves to be recognized.  When panning a graduation party, it’s important that you do your research & prep when it comes making the party an A+.  Use these tips to give your graduate the celebration he or she deserves and be sure to make it an event where they have a great time making new memories to take with them into the next stage of their life.

First things first...who will you invite?  Is this a get together for family, classmates, or the whole neighborhood?

When will the party be held?  Will it be after graduation or on a different day entirely?  Will it be come and go event, or a set time frame?

Where will the party take place?  Is this a backyard party or will you need to secure a venue?  Keep in mind the weather may not cooperate so if planning an outdoor bash, make sure you have a backup plan in case of rain.

Once you've decided on the location, time and guest list, it's time to choose a theme.  Will you choose a specific theme for the decorations and food, or just go with a graduation "theme"?

Next up, what type of food will be served?  Will there be a full meal, appetizers, or just desserts?  Will you need to hire a caterer?  No matter which option you go with, let guests know what you will be serving on the invitation so they will know what to expect.

Entertainment is another thing to consider when planning your party.  Will you have the guests play games?  Would you rather hire a DJ?  Another thought is to have a place where guests can either leave a note of encouragement or maybe give some advice for the future.

Throwing a grad party is much easier with a bit of planning beforehand. Use this guide to throw a party your graduate will remember forever.
