Presley graduated as the salutatorian of her class this year!  Throughout high school, Presley has been involved in FBLA, National Honor Society, UIL academics, IDEA, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Student council and varsity softball. She qualified for state in the FBLA journalism event in all four years. In UIL, she competed in all five journalism events. Her junior year, at district she placed 1st in headline writing, 2nd in feature, 1st in editorial, and 2nd in copy editing, advancing to regionals in 4 of the 5 journalism events. This year, she placed 1st at district in editorial writing, headline writing, copy editing, and news writing and placed 4th in feature writing. At regionals this year, she placed 2nd in headline writing and 2nd in copy editing, advancing to state in two events. At state, she earned 1st place in headline writing. Presley also served as class vice president in her freshman and sophomore years. She received an academic blanket in all four years of high school: Pre AP Algebra I, Geometry, Anatomy & Physiology and Advanced Animal Science. She has also been a starter on the varsity softball team for all four years, and she has received district honors every year possible. Her freshman year, newcomer of the year and academic all district. Her sophomore season was cut short due to COVID-19. Junior year, first team all district and academic all district. Senior year, Pitcher of the Year and academic all district.

FUTURE PLANS:  Presley plans to attend Henderson State University in Arkadelphia in the fall.  She will major in biology and her goal is to become an optometrist.  She is looking forward to playing softball at Henderson as she is the recipient of an athletic scholarship and the academic Chancellor scholarship as well.
