IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOS BY SHOOTING IN AV MODE

Ready to take your photography to the next level and quit shooting in Auto? Auto mode can take some great pictures in ideal situations, but to have full control of the creative decisions, you'll need to at least switch to a priority mode.

You can use aperture priority mode to control the depth of field, you know that thing that gives you a blurry background? Choose a smaller f-number, like f/4 or less, to achieve it. The smaller the f-stop, the more bokeh (blurry background) you will get.  In AV mode (aperture priority mode) you set the camera's f stop and the camera will adjust the other settings.  So open that aperture all the way up and see what you can create!
